This week on the international pet photographer blog circle we get Accessorized! This theme could have led down many paths – what pet, and what pet photographer, isn’t laden with accessories? But with my injury still hampering my picture taking and computer time, I’ve chosen to feature one of my newest accessories, a compact digital camera the Nikon AW100. Not only is it waterproof, shockproof, and freezeproof, it fits in my pocket for dog walks (about the size of a deck of cards) and is light enough that I was able to take a few quick images this week.
It has a nifty macro mode for this close up of Maddie’s new collar from Dogs in the Bakery. Actual width is about 3/4″. Her nickname is Lovey McDovey so this is the perfect everyday accessory for her!
And if you look carefully you’ll see her hiding behind the jungle grasses in the vastness of our back yard. This little pocket cam is much less intimidating than a D-SLR and I got some great eye contact….
…and some great smiles, with a bit of fill flash. It won’t ever replace my Canon D-SLR but I do love this little camera.
Next let’s visit pet photography by California’s EDDOG Photography and see how accessorized Lisa got this week. Remember to follow the link at the bottom of her post and in each post until you get back to where you started.
Thank you ladies! She has been a good nurse while I heal : )
Wow, I really love that collar! Maddie is such a sweetie, and so good at hiding too 🙂
that smile is just fantastic 🙂
Oh I love the collar! Maddie is so pretty!
Maddie has such a terrific smile – beautiful girl! Cool collar, too. My Chubs is a little jealous, frankly.
Maddie is just beautiful! I love the photo of her in the grass . . . her eyes just jump off the page. I need a new compact camera, I’ll have to check this Nikon out.
