This week’s blog circle assignment is Bridges.  Instead of taking a new photograph I’ve reworked an old image of Bella using some of the techniques I use for my “artistic” style to create a new image.  This is a composite of 3 main images and three main textures, enhanced by various adjustment layers and masks using PhotoShop.  This kind of creation is quite labour intensive and even now that I’ve put the Wacom pen down after many hours, I still see things here and there that could be tweaked.

I was aiming for a vintage/nostalgic vibe with a hint of Rainbow Bridge – what do you think?

Textures courtesy of French Kiss TexturesSmoko Stock, and Jevi Joyce, background courtesy of StockProject1 and bridge courtesy AlienJacki Stock.

Now head over the bridge to Paw Print Images to see what Sharon has created on her side!

>VERY nice result! I can feel the rainbow bridge – and remembering the furry friend at his healthiest. I especially appreciate hearing the work that went into the image and the links – I may have to explore them for my texture-a-day blog!
